Welcome to MARS

We're glad you made it.

Let's explore.

Z-2

The hard composite upper torso gives this suit long-term durability. This suit uses higher fidelity boots along with materials that are compatible with a full vacuum environment. Weighing at 143 pounds, the Z-2 interfaces with NASA's advanced Portable Life Support System.

CONSTELLATION CONFIG.2

Unlike Other suits, Configuration 2 is a soft suit, which allows astronauts to bend over and grasp objects when fully suited and pressurized. New joint designs allow it to operate at a higher pressure, avoiding the danger of undergoing decompression sickness.

Mark III

A rear entry suit, the Mark III incoporates a mix of hard and soft suit components. The 8.3 poinds per square inch operating pressure makes it a "zero-rebreathe" suit, meaning astronaut would be able to transition without experiencing rapid depressurization.

This is what you'd hear on Mars.

Recorded by Opportunity Rover, louder noise responds to rougher terrain and softer sound corresponds to smoother, sandy terrain.
